About Jumbo's House of Ribs

It started out as a hobby to share with friends and family all summer long at home, now it's turned into a dream come true for Jumbo. Trying to figure out a perfect BBQ sauce and finding it after 15 years was the only part of our recipe. Retiring after 40 years of welding, he just couldn't stay away from heat!. Three years ago, John (Jumbo) broke out the welding torch, ordered a couple of grills from Texas and went to work, building the rig that now houses our signature green building creating Jumbo's House of Ribs. Every move he made was done with love and commitment to success and it looks like we made it. The past 2 summers have included hard work was well worth it for Jumbo and Diane (Jumbo's wife) whom have been married for 23 years. How can you not have fun (even though it's a job) when your at a party and even better, a barbecue. Our third summer in has been great and we figure it can only get better. A family based business, Jumbo, Diane, and their daughter Bridget are the base crew and they hire college and high school students to help out as they need. All professional energetic and most important, smiling and happy when they arrive at your party or event in their BBQ uniforms, to serve and help in anyway, making your party day stress free and enjoyable.

Not only does Jumbo's House of Ribs cater but they also have a pick-up menu that will be ready for you at your convenience, piping hot and wrapped to travel. All we need is a 24 hour notice and a deposit.

Back in September, John was approached by the promoter of the 16th annual international chefs rib cook-off, held by the Ogontz Ave. revitlaiztion committee. Out of 16 BBQers, Jumbo's House of Ribs placed 3rd. Jumbo's House of Ribs took 2nd place for the judges choice for their presentation. Most important, they received 1st place for PEOPLE CHOICE!
